The Oyster-TBC is supplied with a Ceramikx/Carbon Block 0.2 micron Cartridge for Bacteria including Campylobacter, E.coli and cysts such as cryptosporidium and Giardia + a Coconut Shell Activated Carbon Block Cartridge for Trihalomethanes,VOCs (eg Pesticides, Herbicides...), Chlorine, PAHs, pharmaceutical residues, endocrine disruptors, hormones, sediments and taste and odour problems .
16,000 litres cartridge life and the replacement cartridge set of 2 is priced at 39.95/pair Total.

The Ceramikx/Carbon Block cartridge is washable.  Pathogens. particulates and sediments are mechanically filtered on the cartridge surface and can be washed off in a flow of water and gentle rubbing with a soft sponge if the flow from the tap becomes unacceptable.
