BEYOND ULTRAVIOLET (UV)

We are now in a position to offer a modern alternative to ultraviolet disinfection and have removed UV from all our literature and this website.

UV has been the only real option for many years. Besides an expensive initial outlay, maintenance costs and needing a power supply, the real problem is the lamp may be lit but is it killing the pathogens? If the UV lamp becomes fouled with particulates and especially, limescale, the wave length is altered and it ceases to disinfect efficiently.

Doulton, the recognised world leader of water filter cartridges and candles, have solved the problem by designing a system, the "Rio2000", Carousel that will take 6 Sterasyl candles and fit big blue housings. We have incorpated this in to our "Moby Rio" Whole House Private Water Filter System.

For drinking water and food preparation water from a separate filtered water tap, if you have a minimum pressure of 45psi, we offer our standard Pearl-DSC for your consideration. Please click this picture link >>

For drinking water and food preparation water from a separate filtered water tap, if you have a pressure of less than 45psi, Please see the Pearl-PWDSC below which uses proper 15mm plumbing connections and larger diameter tubing to overcome the pressure/flow problems.

For all the cold water to your existing kitchen cold tap, the Oyster-PWDDSC below. We recommend this solution so that you also avoid E.coli, cryptosporidium etc in your washing up water and salads as well. This is also supplied with proper 15mm plumbing connections and larger diameter tubing.
