SCALE, hardness particles are kept separated so hard scale deposits are reduced.
CORROSION, a protective layer is formed on metal surfaces so protecting them against any water acidity.
IRON, up to 1ppm, is sequestered in suspension so preventing precipitation that would otherwise cause staining and undesirable flavour.
